If you’ve been following Chachi’s since its days tucked inside Beach City Market, there’s a new San Pedro address to add to your lunch rotation. The local sandwich shop has officially moved into its own storefront at 1436 W. 25th St. in San Pedro, marking a new chapter for the neighborhood favorite.

After spending its first two years operating out of Beach City Market, Chachi’s now has a dedicated space of its own. The new location keeps the personality that made the original spot memorable while giving the sandwich shop room to settle into a storefront designed around the Chachi’s experience.

A New Home for Good Sandwiches Only

Chachi’s first opened in San Pedro in 2024, building a following around hot-pressed sandwiches, house-made spreads, and a menu that puts a different spin on the classic deli sandwich. The move into a standalone storefront is a natural next step for the husband-and-wife-run business.

And if you’ve seen Chachi’s content around the South Bay lately, you may recognize the new space immediately. The colorful interior features the brand’s playful retro-inspired artwork, checkerboard details, and plenty of personality.

The Chachi’s team highlights how the San Pedro community has been so supportive, which has allowed them to expand into the new space.

The Sandwiches Are Still the Main Event

The move may be new, but the menu is sticking with what Chachi’s does best: crispy, melty, pressed sandwiches with house-made spreads.

The current lineup includes the Turkey, Torpedo, Ham Torta, Veggie, Pastrami, Tuna Melt, and Grilled Cheese. The Turkey comes with RC Provisions turkey, Havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, and a cranberry-walnut spread, while the Torpedo brings together ham, mortadella, spicy soppressata, and Havarti with its signature savory spread.

The Ham Torta gives the classic Mexican sandwich a Chachi’s spin with ham, Havarti, lettuce, and tomatoes, plus house-made guacamole and a black bean spread with jalapeños. For vegetarians, the Veggie combines hummus, mango chutney, Persian cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes, and Havarti.

And yes, the sandwiches are pressed hot, giving the bread that crisp exterior while keeping everything inside warm and melty. Chachi’s also skips the standard mustard-and-mayo approach on most of its sandwiches in favor of sauces and spreads made specifically for each sandwich.

What to Order at Chachi’s

If it’s your first visit, the Torpedo is a good place to start. The Italian-inspired sandwich stacks ham, mortadella, and spicy soppressata with Havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, and pepperoncini.

The Turkey is another longtime favorite, especially if you like the sweet-and-savory combination of cranberry and walnut with turkey and cheese.

For something a little different, the Ham Torta brings Mexican-inspired flavors to the lineup, while the Grilled Cheese keeps things classic with cheddar and Havarti, a touch of the Torpedo spread, and a crispy crust.

Chachi’s also offers a Party Box with assorted sandwich halves and diced salads, making the new shop an option for office lunches, gatherings, and South Bay events.

For South Bay sandwich fans, the move means one more stop to add to the San Pedro food lineup.
